About me

My name is Hrvoje Bulat. I hold a degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, graduating in the top 10% of my class. I am also a recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for work in the field of ethics in psychology.

I have over 20 years of experience, primarily gained in Talent and Leadership Development, as well as Business Development at Zagrebačka banka, one of the most successful companies in Croatia.

There, I also led a team supporting more than 1,000 employees in sales. Over time, a total of 70 employees rotated through the team, most of whom had previously been identified as less motivated or less competent.

Based on my successful work with them, I developed the OAK Leadership Model. It is a structured, field-tested leadership framework that strengthens Employee Engagement and competencies, enhances team collaboration, and aligns everyone around the team’s vision, purpose, and results.

The model’s proof of concept was conducted in 2025 within a top startup in its niche. Pre- and post-measurements of the OAK Leadership Model Transformation Program showed statistically significant improvements in leadership competencies, as well as increased team cohesion. Both are predictors of higher employee engagement and, ultimately, improved company performance.

I continuously develop my expertise across various topics, both in Croatia and internationally.

I am accredited in the Integrative-Constructivist Coaching (ICCD), as well as in Systemic Team Coaching (STC). Both are certified programs recognized by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

I am currently enrolled in an advanced Systemic Team Coaching program (STC Practitioner) led by Professor Peter Hawkins, a global authority in coaching.

I have been a guest lecturer for several years at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management, covering topics such as Neuroeconomics, Neuromarketing, and Organizational Network Analysis (ONA).

I am also the author of articles published in leading business media such as Lider, Netokracija, and AIHR (Academy to Innovate HR). In addition, I'm a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, a community that supports Harvard Business Review’s editorial team in shaping content.
